R.W. Hampton

As a working cowboy, R.W. Hampton scratched out a living on cowhand wages on ranches in New Mexico, Oregon, Wyoming and Texas. Some of em' big, some of em' not so big. But as much as he loved working cattle and horses, he found he had a real gift for and pleasure in singing the old cowboy songs and writing new ones. He got up in front of a few people here and there, finally honing his guitar and singing skills to professional grade. And in 1988, he left the full-time cowboy life behind for a full-time career as an entertainer. He has done right well.

Hampton is a frequent performer at Western-style events around the nation and even toured Australia and Brazil a few years back. He has also acted in various TV shows and has done modeling and TV commercials.

His album, "The Last Cowboy--His Journey," received a special Director's Award in 2000 from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame. It won in the category of "Excellence in Dramatic Presentation and Musical Composition".

Some of his ten albums include "The One That I Never Could Ride," "Born to be a Cowboy," "Ridin' the Dreamland Range," and a two gospel music albums titled, "Then Sings My Soul" and "I Believe".

Hampton was named the "2006 Western Music Male Vocalist of the Year" by the Academy of Western Artists. That award marks the fourth time Hampton has been so honored by the AWA in the Male Vocalist category.

But R.W. Hampton is more than just a gifted cowboy singer:  he has a multi-faceted career, one that has seen him perform in a dozen Western movies, co-write and star in the one-man play, "The Last Cowboy,"  and narrate several national radio and TV spots. All this on top of being recognized eight times by various Western associations for his singing and songwriting.

R.W. Hampton can be reached at P.O. Box 150, Cimarron, NM 87714.

Tom Hanshew

Tim Harmon says of Tom Hanshew: "Tom Hanshew comes from Godley, Texas, where he runs a small breeding operation to help preserve the oldest bloodline of horses on the North American Continent. His Galicenos are direct descendants of the horses that carried the conquistadors into the mainland and later took the cattle north to the rails. Tom is serious about anything cowboy, but watch out. He'll turn the tables on you at the drop of a hat and have you in stitches before you know it. His rich baritone voice and jumbo flat top guitar will ease your troubled mind and remind you of a distant place in time."

Tom is the ranch manager for the family horse breeding operation on the Circle TK Ranch in Godley, Texas. He has performed at Gatherings, benefits and for corporate and private events across Texas and Oklahoma.

"KEEPERS" is the newest Cowboy Poetry album by Tom “TRAILBOSS” Hanshew. "KEEPERS" is a collection of Cowboy poetry and stories written by Tom and recorded at Lonesome Prairie Recording Studio in Crowley, Texas. All poems and stories in this album were performed by Tom, except for “AGE WISE,” which was performed by Tom’s wife, Kristy. The album is available from Circle TK Productions at P.O. Box 184 Godley, Texas 76044. Phone him at 817/309/2011 or email him at: (trailbosstom@hotmail.com )
